Gordon Massman took this photo of a picnic table near his home in western Massachusetts just a few days ago. Aside from its meteorological interest, I think it’s a hauntingly beautiful and provocative image.
A collection of Gordon Massman’s poetry published by New York Quarterly Books will be available in the next few months. Reproduced here are the front cover and a poem printed on the back cover referring to the title of the collection.
