I
post this early photo of my granddaughter Daniela Joel in commemoration of her beauty
and her innocent intense joy of being in the world. As
she said in her blog when she had just turned fourteen, less than a year before
her death, “Remember that when life gives you a hundred reasons to
cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.”
