US Army Invests in 'Thought Helmet' Technology for Voiceless Communication from PhysOrg.com

In the future, soldiers may be communicating silently with sophisticated "thought helmets." The devices would harness a person´s brain waves and transmit them as radio waves, where they would be translated into words in the headphones of other soldiers.

Fascinating technology!

Too bad it will be used by military -- ugh.

But wait! There's more! Soon we can get spam directly into our brains!

The technology is amazing. But I can't think of a technology, especially one having to do with communication, that wasn't misused (ok, to be accurate: used for purposes that I don't care for, anyway) fairly soon after its introduction.

Not anti-technology, far from it. Just grouching I guess.
